歐洲遊學遊記點我

I had to get up at six in the morning to pack my luggage; it’s a really tiring chore if you went to bed late last night. :P Outside is foggy, hope today is a good weather. :) I like yesterday’s breakfast better than today. Despite the pepperoni, the breakfast is good. I didn’t get myself full, because we will eat a lot on the plane. :P I didn’t saw the bus driver who sends us here yesterday, not even his bus. The new driver looks more outgoing.

Before going to the airport, we went to the National flower market to watch how the businessmen buy the flowers. The parking lot is large, but only a few cars in the parking lot. Though it’s said that the flower market is open to visitors, when we got there, the market is closed. We missed the auction. :(

A man came to receive us. Since the auction is over, he led us on a bridge below the ceiling, for us to watch the workers busy working below. Hundreds or maybe thousands of carts with boxes of flowers on it were being pushed around by the workers or vehicles, some carts are moving on the trails by themselves! o.0

The reception personnel explain to us how the auction works even it had already ended. This is the first time that I know Holland is not a country, it’s only a part of the Netherlands . :D

 繁體繁體~(好吧,請忽略我…)

Because we lost the chance of watching the auction, there was much time left, about an hour. The driver suggested us to go to take pictures with the windmill. So we did. He brought us to a farm first, and we all think that the owner of the farm is his friend. He must have brought a lot of tourist groups here. o.0

The owner is funny and humorous, knowing how to grab customers’ hearts. He even said a few sentences in Chinese to welcome us, not the ones like ‘你好’. :) He said he can make the explanation in Chinese if we couldn’t understand English. Well, he explains in English. :P

He made a brief introduction of how to make cheese, and show us how cheese changed over time. While explaining, he sliced small pieces of cheese for all of us to taste it, the cheese tasted different at different times! He said that we don’t really need to put it in the refrigerator to keep if fresh, in shadow will be fine.

I was holding my camera and jacket when he called me to give him my hands, so that he could slice the cheese on my hand. He took away my camera and said he wanted to keep it, well, everyone knows that he is making a joke. :D Both are delicious, but I think that the thread like cheese tasted better than thin pieces.

He then showed us the process of making the Dutch clogs. If he didn’t say, we wouldn’t have found out that he’s wearing one on his feet! The owner make the machine carved one clog while explaining, machine always faster and more accurate than hand-made ones. :P He also reminded us that if we want to buy any, we should always buy a pair that is bigger than our normal feet.

After the explanation, we still got plenty of time to shop in the little store which sells their products and some small souvenirs. Most of them are cheese; they even make a strange flavor: smoked chicken! = = They also make small clog piggy bank, you can also ask the profession master to carve your name on it. Her words are really beautiful. The owner helped Becca carved one, but it came out really ugly, so Becca asked the profession one to help fix it out. XD

After paying the things I bought, the bus driver helped Michelle and I took pictures with a big piece of cheese and the knife. :D We took a group picture outside the barn and headed to the windmill.

I was really astonished to see the windmill. Different from most our memories from books, there was only ONE windmill when we got there. = = We all thought it should be a few windmills in a line, and this windmill wasn’t even moving! We couldn’t take good pictures because it is back-lighted. :( But still, you can’t say you have been to Holland if you didn’t visit the windmill. Well, also the flower field. >_<”

The bus driver told us that Amsterdam Schiphol Airport is one of the best airports that have excellent service. We feel their service as soon as we got in; there were workers giving out free cones at the lobby! I wonder if they give free hot drinks in winter. XD

In the hours of waiting, Michelle and I went wandering through the stores and restaurants. I bought myself a chocolate muffin, and it tasted great. :D There’s even a special counter for a candy brand ‘Smarties’! We stopped at the counter of Apple and start using the 3C products. XD

糖果的專賣店,不過沒進去逛

Different from other airports, we have to board earlier because we went pass the security check when we are boarding. It’s actually at the gate! While waiting in line, we accidentally knocked down a tall pile of plastic bottle. None of the bottle was squeezed, and it was piled up to about 40cm above the trash can. We couldn’t pile it back, it’s too difficult. We were interested in who did that. :D

I really didn’t sleep on the plane. It’s mostly daytime during the flight. I actually tried to take pictures when we were flying over a desert, or maybe it’s a plateau. :P While transferring in Bangkok , I bought myself a donut from Mister Donut simply because I’m too gluttonous. :P

We landed in Taipei the other day at noon, and it was raining when we finally return Tainan at dusk. I’m glad that my mom had time to pick me home, or else I might have to walk home since it was so close to our house. :))) I also realized something REALLY important: I seriously need to go on a diet!
