歐洲遊學遊記點我
I walked alone the street with different stores and famous brands selling things on both sides. I’ve never seen some of them, for example, a store selling children’s toy named Bart Smit. There’s also a shopping center, called Kalvertoren, with many people going in and out. Then I reach a famous landmark called Munttoren, I thought it’s a bus or tram station, but I found out it wasn’t. :P It does look like an old station. :) Crossing road here is similar to the way in England , but you might have to stop more times because of the trams. :) There are more bikes stopped on the way than in England , and they don’t lock their bicycles to the fences of other buildings, you can barely see fences here. :P I went into different fast food restaurant and other stores that sell food. Well, I didn’t buy anything to eat. :P It’s surprising to find that some of the things weren’t that expensive, the buns were 0.50€, and the ice cream is 0.50€ too! The dairy products here are even cheaper than Taiwan . :D Not knowing where I’m heading to, I came cross with a small square, with lots of people resting there and a statue of Rembrandt (倫勃朗) standing in the middle of it. (I found out that it’s called Rembrandtplein when I get back to Taiwan ) Painters were helping people to draw their portrait, some of them were chattering at the café around this square, and children were chasing the pigeons. There’s a statue of Thorbecke (邵柏克) besides the cannel nearby. I saw a glass roof boat going through the cannel with tourists looking around. That’s where my afternoon wandering route ended. It’s about time, so I made my way back to the National Monument. I choose the road that I came to go back, though I didn’t went into any of them. I would rather squeeze with the crowds instead of walking beside cars. :P I don’t know where this road will end, but I was glad that this road ended at the square across the National Monument. Since there were still a few minutes left, I stayed and watch the performance. It was a sad thing that the freestyle soccer performance had just ended. :( I like soccer very much. There’s also people wearing in special costumes standing there, but they were not as attractive as the single wheel biker. The man on the bike is REALLY outgoing and outstanding. He told people to throw the bowling pins for him to catch, and he did catch them well. He also played with a little boy when he ride backwards and ask the little boy to hand him the slippers he left on the ground. :)) Sharon and Lisa came the last, bringing our tickets to get a ride on the glass roof boat. While walking to the port, right besides Amsterdam Central Station, we talked about what we saw during the free time. Sharon and Lisa when near to the Red Light area, and they really did saw naked women standing in the showcase to attract men. On the way, we even saw a rainbow banner, stands for homosexual, waiving. I also tell them that a stranger came and chat with me. Most of the girls were excited to hear that and complained that they didn’t meet any guys who talked to them in the past hours. (By the way, that guy wasn’t handsome.) They changed their minds after hearing he wanted to know where I’m going to stay tonight. They all think that it’s freaky, but they all started laughing when I told them how I get rid of him. XD Joe and Edison also agreed that it was a dangerous situation for girls. :) Reaching the port, some of us went buying the commemorative coins of Amsterdam . I got one for myself as well; maybe Taiwanese merchants can also sell commemorative coins instead of the stamps. :) The Amsterdam Central Station is really well designed; I like the red bricks with the gray roof on top of it. Seriously, I don’t like the glass roof boat. Because of the sun shinning (it was about three in the afternoon), the air inside the glass is quite dizzy, even opening the window doesn’t help! I fell asleep a few times during the trip. Well, I think it’s also because I just finished a four kilometers walk. :P Despite the dizzy atmosphere in the boat, the scenery is quite good, though sometimes you couldn’t see clearly what’s happening on shore when going through the cannel. :P Oh, and the sound of the engine is really annoy, but the caption is quiet handsome. :D Before going out to the sea, we went pass a four-story high parking lot with thousands of bicycles parking in it. o.0 It’s quite spectacular. I don’t think that we really went out to the ocean, but we saw a Chinese restaurant on water, and I like a sign written ‘I amsterdam ’ which is on the other side. When we went into the cannels, I tried to find the place where I saw the glass roof boat, but I didn’t. I even saw people sitting at the edge of the bridge. A push can easily get them down the water. I envy the people who were enjoying their ride on the speedboat; it must have been very cool. :P The boathouses tied to the shore also looked good, getting one seems like a good idea, if I have the money of course. :)
