Sharks鯊魚

在黑暗、神秘的海洋中有一種游很快速的動物。因為它要吃魚而使得海洋從藍色變成紅色。鯊魚是一種魚。，有些鯊魚的牙齒凸出，有些甚至沒有牙齒。

可愛的小，但很危險
所有的鯊魚像魚，他們有鰓裂、鰭、尾，胸鰭和身體看起來像一個魚雷，鯊魚有這種現象叫做卵胎生。雌鯊魚比雄鯊魚大。鯊魚不照顧自己生的幼鯊，但他們會找到一個安全的地方產卵。幼鯊被稱為鯊魚幼仔，它們必須走出自己的住所尋找食物。

Cute and Small, but Dangerous

All sharks are like fish, they have gill slits, fins, tails, pectoral fins, and a body that looks like a torpedo. Unlike other fish, sharks have a Phenomenon called ovoviviparous. Female shark are larger than males. Sharks can have from 1 to 100 babies at a time, depending on the type of shark. Sharks do not care for their babies after they are born, but they will find a safe place where they can lay their eggs. Shark babies are called pups, when they incubate, they must go out of their shelter to find food. Over many years, the shark babies grow up into adults. They have the most powerful jaws on the planet. When sharks are hunting, they can reach speeds toward 19 kilometers per hour. (125) (86)

All Kinds of Sharks

In the earth, there are more than three hundred and fifty kinds of sharks. There are Leopard Sharks, Basking Sharks, Great Hammerhead, Thresher Sharks, Tiger Sharks, Blue Sharks, Mako Sharks, Sand Tiger Sharks, Whale Sharks, Blacktip Reef Shark, Cookiecutter Shark, Great White Shark…… and many other sharks. The biggest meat eating shark is the Great White Shark; it is in an average of 3.7 - 4.9 m long, the biggest great white shark was 7 m long. It is weighting about 3200 kilograms, shark pups can be over 1.5 m long at birth. The Great Hammerhead Shark has the most different head of all sharks. The average of a Great Hammerhead Shark is up to 3.5 m long. The largest one is 6 m long. These large sharks’ average about over 230 kg but some can weigh as much as 450 kg . (142) (83)

Harmless Giants

Almost all sharks are carnivores, but Whale Shark, the biggest fish on earth, is not a carnivore. The whale shark is up to 14 m , weighing up to 15 tons. The average size is 7.6 m long. This huge shark is a filter feeder and eats big amounts of plankton to eat through its gills as it swims. The second biggest shark is the basking shark; male basking sharks are up to 9 m long, and Female basking sharks are up to 10 m long. This enormous shark weighs up to 4 tons. Megamouth Sharks are like whale sharks, they are all filter feeders, and swim with their enormous mouths wide open to filter water for plankton and jellyfish. Megamouth Sharks are able to grow to 5.5 meters in length. Their weights are up to 1,215 kilograms, megamouths have a large mouth with small teeth, and a broad, rounded snout. In the world there are many kinds of sharks, some sharks are harmful and some sharks are harmless. Every kind of shark has its own special points, some have big mouth and some have sharp teeth.
