2008-7-8 (TUES)

Today, I woke up in the morning at seven. I had a better night than yesterday with the blankets that the camp lends us. It’s hard to get Taylor out of the bed, it took us a long time to call her up.

We had donuts (I think it’s like little bagels) and pancakes for breakfast. I ate a lot but didn’t get full, that’s really strange thing to me, but it a good meal too. At cabin time, after cleaning our cabin, we played a get-to-know-you game called two minutes of faith. It’s a game that you need to let other people ask you questions in two minutes, and you must answer it. I told them that we should play this yesterday so we can prepare for the adventure unit night, and they all agreed with me.

Later at worship, we know most of the songs all ready and the actions too. We dance and jump around during singing, it was so much fun, but too bad that Eu hurt her leg. I don’t really think that this really matters to her, because she doesn’t look upset, and I think that she also had lots of fun.

At quest time, we went to the archery area and do quest. Today’s topic is to step into creation, so at quest time, we talk a lot and share a lot about it since it’s a really opening topic. We also read the Bible about praising the God. After the quick study, we went to play on the low ropes. We played on a log to change order on it without falling off it. We also tried on another one called the spider web. There are string tied from two trees and we need to cross the holes without touching it, and we can only cross each hole once. I had a lot of fun, though Brandon is in the same group, who cares about him, I’ll just do my best.

We had corndogs and fried potato for lunch, they taste awesome, especially the potatoes, I love potatoes! Later after the rest time, Eu, Taylor, and I played soccer for camper’s choose with Doug and Erin. We had three teams and three of us are on different teams. There are more girls than we thought, some played well (like Zoe that’s in our quest group), but some played really poorly. Thanks goodness that Doug is in our team or else, we’ll lose a lot. Doug kicks really well, he can do tricks with the ball, but sometimes he’ll mess up himself. We played four games and all of them are tie. At our rest time during the soccer games, Zoe, Doug, and I talked about our school. They were shock that our school doesn’t have soccer team.

The funniest thing of the day is after the dinner (we had smashed potatoes) at the unit night. We had the Adventure Olympic Game. We played four games that’s made by Eric. They’re (1) the relay race, (2) act it out and guess (forgot the name), (3) the memory game, and (4) find out places. All of us, are separated into four different groups by height, Eu and I are in different groups.

I think the relay race is stupid, and it makes us look strange and silly. First, as group we need to grab the person’s hand in front of you between their legs, and you need to put your hands between your legs too. We need to run in this position, it’s called the elephant walk. Then when we get back, we need to walk backwards to cross the people who had already lie down and lie down till the last person lie down, and then get up and walk back. During the game your hands can’t let go until the end, and this is called the snake walk. The last part is you need to hold the stick, turn around ten times , and then run around the cone and run back. I slipped while running, because they just water the grass. It hurts.

The act it out game, is funnier. There are three categorizes: superheroes, electric appliance, and fast food restaurant, and there’s about thirty questions. I only try one, and I got a fast food restaurant in US called subway. That what I only know about it, how could I act it out? Thanks goodness that Eric rush to me and help me, I think that he recognized that I’m a Taiwanese.

At the memory game, we need to follow Eric for a walk around the play field and eagle lounge, and we need to remember the things we saw on the way. Later after the walk, he’ll ask us question and we need to talk about the answer, and this is not a race. Our group guess one correct strangely, because that one boy in our group called Paul saw Copper went to tell the answer and went back with two fingers raising up gladly, so he tell us to guess two, and it is correct! How amazing, Paul can’t believe himself too.

Last, we need to find out the ten places that Eric get the pictures form last year. It was hard but it’s also fun, they are all very small things that are zoomed in bigger. Some are in really strange places too. After all these games, we went to the vesper point and had our own worship. We sing songs, and also have marshmallow, chocolate cookie for snack. All of us sat around the camp fire and listen to Eric’s poop stories.

It was a really fantastic day, and it’s soooooooooo awesome.
