英法比荷遊學100.7.14

歐洲遊學遊記
We have two new students in our morning class! Ana Sofia and Anna, and they were both form Portugal . They are really good at expressing their own thoughts about the topic we were talking about. However, they will only in our morning class, they will go back to their science classes in the afternoon. Jaime seems bored this morning, but it’s good to have more students in the class.

When I went to Lisa’s class in the break time, Lisa showed me the instant noodles and squid strips(魷魚絲)that they brought for their class. They hope that they came have better relationship with the Spanish after sharing the snacks they brought for them. I helped them asked for boiling water from the staff room, and I also asked them to leave some for me. :)

I go there again at the next break, Flo almost left half a bowl for me! I really enjoy it, though is stay in the water too long. We also talked about the activities in the afternoon and the evening. At first, Flo wants to share a sandwich with Becca and I, but then she regrets and have one herself.

In the afternoon, all of us chose volleyball. Flo, Michelle and I were very excited about it. We even started playing with Machina before the teachers finish setting up the net at Parker’s Piece. However because they can’t set up the real volleyball net, we have a REALLY short net, which is about the same height as the badminton ones. = = Well, we still think it’s alright.

There were also other girls who want to play, so not all of us can play. We have six on each side. I served the ball first, but then I kept serving the ball for a long time. The Spanish (I guess) girls on the other side doesn’t seem like they know how to play. They just keep chatting and laughing on the other side, they don’t even know how to catch the ball!

More and more Spanish girls left the field, sat besides us, and began to chat. Only three people were left on the other side. We thought that they were too less and suggested that some of us moved to their side. They didn’t agree, but they didn’t concentrate on the volleyball either! All they did is chatting, laughing and chasing after the ball which has already hit the ground. That is a really annoying behavior, so we decided to leave as well.

While we are resting, Michelle realized that she lost her watch! She asked me to help her find it, but we couldn’t see it any where on the grass. We also asked the boys who were playing football, but they say that they didn’t see any. Michelle is quiet upset about it.

Sharon brought us to H&M, which is a clothes shop that is having a sale. Though some of the prices are quiet attractive, but I wasn’t appealed to any of the clothes. = = Michelle, Karen, Jingyi and I left the shop together. While Karen and Jingyi went in the shopping center for shoes, Michelle and I went into a supermarket near by and get ourselves some ice cream. XD On the way back to the bus station, one Select boy who was playing football returned Michelle her watch. She gain her smile again. I waited at the bus station for a long time until Karen came back. I also missed one bus, but it doesn’t matter. (bus comes every 10min at this moment)

Saila wasn’t home when we got home. She told us that she will took Morman to a outdoor play about Shakespeare. Andrea had already eaten. We had pasta tonight, and Saila eventually prepared too much for us. Three of us can only finish half of the amount she prepared. = =

I really don’t care about the bus now because it seems that it’s never on time. Waiting for twenty minutes and see two buses came at the same time is normal. On the way, I get a phone call from Sharon . She told me to help Tiffany because she is the volunteer. I’m not sure what it is, but I still agree that I will help her translate if Tiffany has any problem.

When I arrived, I found out that I’m also the volunteer too! o.0 I guess it means the ones who volunteer to be the one onstage and let other students watch us. I suddenly remembered that Will came this afternoon and explain to me how this is going to work and I agree to be the ones on stage just because I think it’s going to be fun. I guess that I can still help tiffany if I finished my round before her

So all of the volunteers were separated into six groups, either 1 boy chose from 3 girls or 1 girl chose from 3 boys. I really don’t know why that I’m the one who is choosing from 3 boys. (hahaha…… <- don’t know why but started to laugh in my heart) I hope that Will didn’t deliberately choose me to be the one to chose boys. (I think that I’m thinking too much)

All the girls had to stay outside of the common room, we don’t get the chance to watch other groups. :( When it’s my turn, a teacher putted a patch on my head. Then I was brought into the common room. I heard some Spanish people laugh, but I’m not really sure because it is quiet noisy in the room. I sat down on a chair and get the patch off my head. I couldn’t see other Taiwanese students, the screen blocked the left side of the room.

Will gave me a piece of paper which has three questions on it. He told me that I can ask those question to the boys when it’s my round. I tried to ask questions, but the other students in front of us were really loud and I couldn’t hear the answers from the boys. = = Will tried to control the situation, but it is still too loud. After a few minutes, Will announced that I should choose one from those three. (I didn’t hear any of them!! How should I choose!!)

Before I said my chose (well, it’s kind of like picking a number I like= =) Suddenly, Alexandra whispered to me that they are going to exchange me with a teacher wearing a wig after I said my choice. However, I still didn’t know who to choose. There were a lot of people shouting, trying to convince me to choose someone. I couldn’t decide. Then I saw Karen lifting her finger and tell me to vote for number one. There were also a lot of people telling me to vote him, so I said I will chose number one.

After that, Alexandra took me away from the seat. I saw I teacher (I don’t know who) wearing an Afro wig standing behind the wall. I get into the hallway and meet Joe there. After that, I heard people burst out laughing from the common room. They must have seen that funny teacher, because I couldn’t stop laughing after I saw him too.

However, Michelle grabbed my arm and pulled me out of the building. She looked REALLY pissed off. She is really angry about the Spanish boys laughing at me when I was brought into the room. I stay calm and try to reassure her, but she said she will stay outside until this activity ends.

I went in and meet other Taiwanese students. Karen was very excited and told me that I just chose Oscar in her class. I remembered hearing from her that she doesn’t think Oscar is a good person, I’m really confused about why she wants me to chose him. = = She said, “Because I want you to know who is Oscar.” I really think this reason is RIDICULOUS! I also asked her if she was the one sitting there will she chose Oscar, and she immediately said no. = =

I really don’t know what to say. I suddenly want to go to the toilet, so I left the common room. Karen also followed me to the toilet and asked me if I’m crying. = = What makes her think that I will cry after that?! Whatever. At least this means that she still knows that her unintentional actions might hurt other people.

Tiffany was the last group, after the activity ends, all of the Taiwanese students went to the front door and sits on the stairs. Some of us complained to Sharon about how the Spanish students behave. After hearing from different people, Sharon decided to call the school manager out and listen to our complaint.

Alexandra came out and asked us serious what happened. I stood besides her and watched them complaining. Lisa talked agitated and she eventually couldn’t translate her feeling into English. So she asked me to help her translate. = = After they finish complaining, Alexandra told us that the school had already notice this problem, but they didn’t know it was that serious. She told us that they will deal with this issue tomorrow. I told her that we don’t want to let them know that was us who told the school. Alexandra said they know, but I don’t really think that the Spanish won’t recognize.

Most of us went to Tesco again to change our mood, though I wasn’t really angry about the Spanish. Edison did a really funny dance on the way to Tesco, I also bought mousse with some pieces of cake in it. (Oh my god, I’m going to gain a lot of weight!)

On the way to the bus station, Lisa found 5 on the ground. A few people were fighting over it, but I’m not interested in it. Then Edison suddenly mentioned the old tradition about getting married with the family who put money on the road. After hearing that, none of us, including Edison, want to keep that 5. = = I didn’t believe in that, and we are in England , not in Taiwan !

We still don’t know how to deal with the 5 when we get to the bus stop. Then I suggested that if none of us want to keep it, we can leave it at the bus stop and let whoever wants it take it away. All of us agreed and we clogged it in a crack we found on the bus time schedule. I guess it’s hard to ignore it. Maybe we can come tomorrow and see if it’s still there or not. :)

Andrea also got on the bus at the bus station. When three of us got home, Saila had just got back home as well. She asked us about the blind dating. Andrea told her very excitedly that I was chosen to be on there. I just smiled and said that it’s pretty fun, though I didn’t really think so. I think it might be more interesting if I can hear the answers from the boys.
